The occupation wreaks havoc in Tulkarm camp and Hamas mourns 3 martyrs
The Israeli occupation forces caused widespread destruction in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the West Bank after deploying troops and bulldozers to storm the camp early this Thursday morning. Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the forces, leading to intense clashes.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that three Palestinians were martyred and four others were injured during the incursion by the occupation forces into the camp, which is located in the northern West Bank.
Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the three martyrs were killed in two separate airstrikes by Israeli drones on the Tulkarm camp.
In a statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourned the “three martyrs of Tulkarm who were killed by the fascist occupation army during its criminal military operation that began this morning in the Tulkarm camp.”
Hamas added that the “intensification of the occupation’s incursions and crimes in the cities and camps of the West Bank, and the systematic destruction it carries out in the Tulkarm, Jenin, and Balata camps, among others, is a practical translation of the fascist statements and positions issued by the leaders of the extremist Zionist government.”
The movement emphasized that the ongoing aggression will not succeed in breaking the resistance spirit of the Palestinian people.
According to Al Jazeera’s correspondent, the occupation forces remain at the gate of the Tulkarm camp after engaging in clashes during their incursion into the camp.
Fierce Clashes
Israeli media reported that an Israeli soldier was injured in an explosion inside the camp.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that they had engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation forces in the Tulkarm camp.
Additionally, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, declared that its fighters had detonated explosive devices targeting Israeli vehicles around the camp. Al-Qassam also released footage showing their targeting of occupation forces on the Balouneh axis in the Tulkarm camp.
